We are Alan & Susan, thank you for visiting our website, we appreciate you taking the time to find out about us. We know this is probably one of the most difficult decisions a mother must make and we appreciate that you want the best for your child. We hope that you find what you are looking for in the following pages and that after reading about us you will place your faith and trust in us to give the best that we can as adoptive parents for your child.
We would like to tell you about who we are, how we met, how we spend our time, about our families, where we live and why we want to adopt.
Family is very important to us and we always hoped to become parents and have children, however for medical reasons this was not possible and now we hope to share our love, beautiful home and loving family with an adopted child. Our families are very supportive of our venture and excited at the prospect of a new member and we would embrace this opportunity with all our hearts.
We both come from the North of England and moved to Switzerland in 2002 where we now live. We are very happy to be adopting from America, being English we have always seen America as our 'sister country' and we have several American friends with whom we always enjoy lively conversations about our language and traditions. We had a wonderful holiday in America staying with our friends and loved the people, the culture and the country. Within our family we would embrace the culture and traditions of the country where we now live, our own homeland and the homeland of our adopted child. We feel it is important to remember where you come from and that this is an important part of a child's identity.
We understand that this is a difficult time for you and we hope that you have the strength and courage to make the best decision for you and your child. We thank you for considering us as adoptive parents and hope that our website has given you an idea of who we are. Should you choose us to become your child's adoptive parents be sure that we will give your child all the love, support, education and opportunities that we are able to and that he/she would be part of a loving and secure family. We will also ensure that your child's background is an important part of their upbringing and make every effort to bring happiness, love and contentment into their lives, sharing photos and letters if you wish to do so.
